Novasome Research and Development Centre conducts research based on knowledge and development of the latest technologies. The company also provides expert and analytical services in the field of medicine, pharmacy and the cosmetics industry. It develops innovative and novel drugs through ongoing cooperation with pharmaceutical companies, and leading scientific units: University of Wrocław, Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Wroclaw Medical University and Poznan University of Medical Sciences, as well as the Institute of Low Temperature and Structural Research at the Polish Academy of Sciences in Wrocław. In 2014, by a decision of the Minister of Economy, the company was granted the status of a Research and Development Centre.

The Novasome R&DC offer includes design and optimisation of research and technological processes, and the development of pharmaceutical formulations in the form of tablets, coated tablets, soft gelatine capsules and cosmetic products. The company also develops epidermal preparations in the form of ointments, creams and gels, including liposomal gels, produced on a laboratory and semi-technical scale, using transdermal tests in Franz cells. Another important element of the company’s activity is the development of guidelines for the validation of analytical methods and technological processes when scaling up from the laboratory to the industrial level. We prepare registration documentation for ready-made pharmaceutical products (in CTD format), with particular emphasis on the quality of the medicinal product.

Novasome R&DC was established in 2004 as a spin-off company. In 2008, as part of Operational Programme Innovative Economy, Priority Axis 4, Measure 4.2: Stimulation of R&D activity of enterprises and support in the scope of industrial design, it obtained financial resources for the implementation of the project ‘Transformation of Novasome R&DC Sp. z o.o. into a Research and Development Centre’.
